Ways to Get Involved
Adult volunteers must: fall within the guidelines of TMJC Staff and be capable of supervising a group of teens, be a reputable Christian leader with a confirmed, clear background check, signed contract of conduct in which they agree to uphold signed standards, and reference from a spiritual mentor if applicant is outside the TMJC area OR it is their first year serving.
Worship Team
Vocals, Guitar, Drums, AV, and more are all welcome. We have worship every evening and Saturday morning and like to rotate 2 worship teams so we do not wear out one team.
Nurse/Health Team
We have a team of health workers that dispense participant's daily meds, monitor them for heat sickness, rashes, and other "occupational" hazards of our community work, as well as general health. We have need for both daytime nurses as well as a nurse who can stay overnight with the participants to be there if any health emergencies arise.
Skilled Help
We have need of carpenters, landscapers, painters, and anyone who has a skill they believe would helpful during our community service projects. You would not be asked to stay the whole week, but only during the "work times" Monday-Wednesday.
Tracker
Individual who locates items and people and transports them to the proper location. This can include taking left behind items such as lunches, sunscreen, tools, etc. to the proper worksites, picking up and delivering materials, and occasionally helping transport participants from one location to another.
Food Prep & Service
We need help every morning for breakfast and evening for dinner in feeding all of these hungry teens! You will work with food coordinator Tammy Culp (third from the left) to help make sure our teens are nourished for their work and worship.
